PaperArtsy Challenge #2 - Masks Project 2

Hiya my lovelies!
Here's my second project for the challenge over at

I decided to make some masks/stencils with my glue gun.
I had a whale of a time!
Here they all are:
I sprinkled some Infusions in A Bit Jaded, The Sage &
Emerald Isle onto my Dylusions journal & added water
for a background.

I added my masks & gessoed on top.

I then used Blood Orange, Autumn Fire, Pumpkin Soup
& Hey Pesto on top. I love the translucency of these colours.
In fact I use them so much I need to get some more!

Here's the finished journal spread.

I really had a lot of fun doing this.
It's so easy & I now have my own custom masks/stencils!
Give it a go!

Perhaps you already have, let me know in the comments below!

Crazy Cat Lady

Hiya crafty peeps!
This is a project that I originally made for the SDD DT but I could no longer fulfil my duties because of work commitments. Although I am no longer a part of the DT I thought you might like to see what I did with the digi stamps I was given....

You can find the digital cat topper I used here.
I made the blue background with a mix of Sky & Beach Hut Fresco paints. I applied them with the black side of some cut n dry foam in a circular motion. I then laid a lace doily over & sprayed it with Dylusions ink in Black.
I cut out the frame using my Big Shot & glued the topper to the back of the background so the picture showed through. I went around the frame & the background with a black Sharpie marker. I also doodled with it.
I re-used the back of a pad & painted it with a mixture of Fawn Americana acrylic paint, Little Black Dress & Pumpkin Soup Fresco paints. I applied it with a scrunched up baby wipe to add texture & to cover the print underneath! I mounted the background onto the board.
I made my own Alphabet by drawing letters onto patchwork scrapbooking paper. I cut them out & stuck them on with matte medium.
I finished it off with googlie eyes on the cat.

I just wanted to show that card toppers can be used in a different way...
I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tag book inspired by Kirsten Sheridan at Lisa B Designs.

Hiya Lovelies!
2nd post today is a tag book that was inspired by my twitter chum Kirsten Sheridan.
See her fab project for Lisa B Designs HERE.

I didn't incorporate all different techniques like Kirsten did.
I wanted to make this for the Monthly Challenge over at
Lisa B Designs.

I started with some mini tags. I inked them with some watered down Dylusions ink sprays in
Vibrant Turquiose, Bubblegum Pink & Lemon Zest. I then inked round the edges with
Pumice Stone distress ink.

I stamped onto paper that I had stained with a teabag ( Yes you read right, I still do it!) using Archival ink in black. I love these stamps from Crafty Individuals.
I coloured them using my Promarkers & cut them up.
I used some stamps from Sheena Douglass Aging Beautifully set & Indigo Blu Sarah's Choice
(which is one of my faves!) & Discover Your Passion sets. I added Sets. I then put it all together & secured it with Copper Mini Brads & string. I also added some Sepia Accents onto the heart on the front.

Here's the finished tag book.

I hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!
