Card for Kat

I made this card for my friend Kat. If you follow my blog you will know I'm proper rubbish at it & that I don't really explain how I've done stuff. So I will TRY, from now on, to do so!
I used Ranger Distress Stains in Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick & Broken China on white card. I then used Picket Fence Distress Stain over the top of a floral mask to get the desired effect. I mounted it onto recycled brown card. I used an IndigoBlu stamp on a tag that I had inked with Brushed Corduroy & Vintage Photo Distress Ink for a topper. Finished it off with some beads strung onto cord.
Please feel free to leave a comment, I would love some feedback!

Made for Saskia.

I made this for my friend, to give to her sister. I made it from plywood, acrylic paint, pen, twine & ready cut wooden hearts.
Thanks for looking!

Latest journal pages.

It has been ages since I did anything in my journal. I have been so busy helping at my kids school & looking after my step granddaughter that I haven't made time for art. I have made cards for people during my lunch break but that's about it! But since we sorted out a space for me in the living room I have made time! Here's what I did lastnight during dire Saturday tv...

Some recent cards...

Just thought I'd post a few pics of some recent cards I've made. Some are made using Serif, some using inks & stamps and some are hand drawn...

New Art Space!

I know it's been a month since my last post! I've been a busy bee! My stepson has left home. So, instead of me getting my art studio back, (he used it as his bedroom) we decided to knock through to the living room! I can create at night, while still being available to chat when hubby is watching tv... His idea!
The pics below are of before and after.

Made for me!

Quick post... I made myself a calendar today. I thought I might get one for xmas but didn't. I can't function without one! It reads "laugh when you can, apologize when you should & let go of what you can't change".

New year, new post.

I know its not exactly new year as we are 9 days in, but I'm not exactly very good at blogging in a timely manner! Anyway, hope this year carries on being as good as it has been up to now.
Before all the festive hoohaa, I was commissioned to make bracelets for a local brownies. It was to celebrate their pearl anniversary. They had specified that they wanted stretchy glass pearl bracelets with the brownie trefoil on some sort of charm. I set about making the bracelets & thought about how I would make the charms. I decided to make a stamp of the trefoil & I used it on shrink plastic, cut them into circles using my big shot, punched a hole to hang them & blasted them with my heat gun. I then attached them with a gold jump ring & popped them into organza bags. Anyway, here's a pic...
