Little Lunchbags for Ladies.

Hiya my lovelies!
I hope the festive period has been good to you!
I would like to share some of my xmas makes with you...
I wanted to make something personal for my new colleagues.
Something they could use at school... Lunch bags!

I started with a plain jute bag (lunch bag size).
I sketched out a rough design in pencil...

I then used gesso as a base. I used Fresco Acrylic Paints to fill in.

The finished bags...

They seemed to be very well received anyway...
I hope you like them!
I've had a few enquiries from other colleagues about them too.... :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Class at Artist Trading Post with Finnabair

 Hello my lovelies!
I know it's been a while since I last blogged!
I have been a mixture of exhausted & catching up on housework
 since starting my new job..
Anyway I digress!
I attended 2 workshops organized by Artist trading post with the amazing Finnabair yesterday.
If you ever get the chance to do one, go for it! She's a fabulous artist & a lovely person to boot!

The first canvas features myself & the fabulous Mr.Golf ( my lovely husband) on our wedding day.
He deserves a medal for driving me 90 miles to the workshop &
then sat & waited ALLDAY for me & driving back!
He must love me! lol!

The second canvas uses a 3D rocking horse.
Both canvasses use Finnabairs Mechanicals range
plus a few other bits & bobs!
While I was there I picked up a few items...
Well it would be rude not to!

I'm planning on having a play, when time allows...
so watch this space!

Thanks for stopping by.

Inspired by Jo Myhill for PaperArtsy.

 I know... 2 posts in 1 day!
Get me!
Over on the PaperArtsy Blog Jo Myhill is guest designer. She has done 3 great projects!
I have tried to incorporate all 3 in my challenge piece.
My photos aren't great as it's dark now & have had to rely on artificial light. A lot of the detail in the background is lost!

I used Fresco Paints in
Toad Hall, Tinned Peas, Sage, Beach Hut, Mocha Mousse mixed with Brown Shed & Blood Orange.
I also used Archival Ink in Olive, Stazon Ink in Timber Brown & Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

Crochet flower with flower from a necklace & some cogs.

Shrink plastic heart & tag with stitching.

Yes, I used Darcy's Stamps again!
I love them!
I would like to enter this for the PaperArtsy Challenge.
Hope you like it as much as I do!
Thanks for stopping by!

Edit: Here's some pics in daylight. I also decided to add some Treasure Gold in Olive Bronze.

Mail Art

 Hiya my lovelies!
I know its been a couple of weeks since I blogged...
It's half term so I'm off work & have found some time to do some art & blog!

I've been wanting to do some mail art for ages... I was inspired, as always, by Darcy Wilkinson. The gal's a genius & has designed some fab stamps! I saw her post on mail art here.
I won some of her stamps from PaperArtsy in a challenge (see ATC Post). I bought the other set too!
I wanted to use them for this project. I decided to make 9 postcards...

Each one is different. I have used some other stamps in with Darcy's too.
I used Dylusions Inks, Sharpie pens, a white POSCA pen, Archival ink & metallic pens.

Each one has a message...

I was inspired to make some of my own stamps for this project too.
I saw Jenniebellie make some. She's a fab inspiration to me too. She uses recycling in her art & has a fab Etsy shop! I also love her YouTube channel I'm a bit of a Belliette!
Check out her stamp tutorial here.
I just stuck some string to some scrap plywood I had...

I have posted them to some of my followers on Twitter!
Watch your letterboxes ladies!
One of them will be getting the parcel below with something special inside...

Atcs Inspired by Joanne Wardle for PaperArtsy

Hiya crafty peeps!
For those of you that don't know, I run an Atc swap on Twitter.
A few of us swap 3 atcs every month with a different theme, usually decided by suggestion.
Anyway this month the theme is nature.
I thought I'd use a technique that Joanne Wardle used over at the PaperArtsy blog you can find it here.

Here are my 3 atc's for the swap.
I would also like to enter them for the PaperArtsy Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy Cat Lady

Hiya crafty peeps!
This is a project that I originally made for the SDD DT but I could no longer fulfil my duties because of work commitments. Although I am no longer a part of the DT I thought you might like to see what I did with the digi stamps I was given....

You can find the digital cat topper I used here.
I made the blue background with a mix of Sky & Beach Hut Fresco paints. I applied them with the black side of some cut n dry foam in a circular motion. I then laid a lace doily over & sprayed it with Dylusions ink in Black.
I cut out the frame using my Big Shot & glued the topper to the back of the background so the picture showed through. I went around the frame & the background with a black Sharpie marker. I also doodled with it.
I re-used the back of a pad & painted it with a mixture of Fawn Americana acrylic paint, Little Black Dress & Pumpkin Soup Fresco paints. I applied it with a scrunched up baby wipe to add texture & to cover the print underneath! I mounted the background onto the board.
I made my own Alphabet by drawing letters onto patchwork scrapbooking paper. I cut them out & stuck them on with matte medium.
I finished it off with googlie eyes on the cat.

I just wanted to show that card toppers can be used in a different way...
I hope you like it!

Buttons Galore Earring Project.

Hiya crafty peeps!
This is a project that I originally made for the SDD DT but I could no longer fulfil my duties because of work commitments. Although I am no longer a part of the DT I thought you might like to see what I did with the digi stamps I was given....

This weeks digistamp can be found here.
I love this digistamp, it's so versatile! To prove it I wanted to make something a bit different! (Don't I always?!)
I printed out the digistamp twice onto White Shrink Plastic. I had resized the image in CAP.
TIP: Notice the small transparent ruler in the pic? Just copy the measurements from the ruler before shrinking & then shrink! Voila shrinky ruler! So I know what the resulting size will be!

I coloured in the images with Promarkers.
I cut them out & made a hole at the top! (Super important to do this before shrinking!)

I then shrunk them with my trusty heat gun! I use a pencil to hold them in the middle while I do this!
No burnt fingers please!

Voila!
Fab earrings that no one else will have!
(Except for my Auntie Jean as I made her some!)

I hope you like them!
Auntie Jean does!
