Altered Bottle Live Challenge.

Hiya my lovelies!
Just a quick post...
As part of my duties I do an activity.
Last night I decided to do a live challenge as part of my Try Something New theme.
I  decided to alter a miniature bottle & get the ladies to alter things they had around the house.
They chose the colours used etc.
Colours chosen were Blues & Lilacs.

I chose this bottle. It has a plastic fern type thing inside!

I smothered it in Grunge Paste & left windows on each side...

Then I added some embellies...

I then printed off my pick of the week digistamp which you can find here.
I love this image!
I printed it onto white shrink plastic & coloured it in with Promarkers.
I then made a hole. ( Don't forget to do this BEFORE you shrink it!)

I then shrunk it with my trusty heatgun! I use a pencil to hold it steady... don't want burnt fingers!
I had painted the bottle with Pansy & Sky Fresco Paints & went over with a little Treasure Gold in Indigo.
Then tied some cord to make a tag.

Voila!

Close up of texture.

I hope you like it as much as I did doing it!
Thanks for stopping by!

SDD DT Project - Ruperts New Friend

Hiya Crafty Peeps!
It's time for this weeks DT project. I decided to make a Friendship Card.
The Digistamp used is available here.

I made my background using Distress Stains & a Crafters Workshop Stencil. I added some rectangles of handmade paper. I stamped words like 'Friendship' that are by Claritystamp. I used Archival Ink in Blue Violet.
I printed off & coloured in the image with Promarkers. I used a 'dotty' technique for the background of the image. I finished it off by outlining it all in Copper Fineliner Pen.

I hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!
You can also find it on the SDD Facebook page.

Journal page - Tears

Hiya my lovelies!
Just a quick post on a journal page I started on Sunday...
I did the background with various mediums.
I then gessoed a 'lady' onto it...

The next night I added shading & hair.
I was a little reluctant to continue because I'm not very confident with faces...

But I continued with her tonight & I'm really happy!

I added a quote that I love...
"Tears are words the heart can't say..."

Hope you like it!

DT Project for SDD - Rupert's Tomatoes

Hiya crafty peeps!

This weeks Digi Stamp is available here.
As soon as I saw this stamp I thought of my garden...
I printed out the stamp onto A4 canvas sheets that I got in Aldi!
I then painted it with Fresco Paints, cut it out & sewed it on my gardening bag!

Close up.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Memorial Photo Box for Sandra & Stuarts Wedding

Hiya my lovelies!

Now, in my previous post I made a wedding card. It was for my dearest & longest known friend Sandra...
She had asked me to make something special for her wedding to Stuart.
Stuart's mum sadly passed away a few months back & they both wanted something to represent her on their special day.
I automatically thought photo box. I had made a couple for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. (see post)
I knew Sandra's colour scheme was lilac & white, with a heart theme, so went with that.
I made it the same way as before except for the theme & colours.
I also used words on each side.

                                                                             Love.
                                                                             Faith
                                                                               Hope
                                                                               Peace
      Friendship.

She was over the moon when she picked it up yesterday...
I hope Stuart likes it.
It was lovely to be asked to make something so special.
I gave it as a wedding present.

Hope you like it too!
Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Card inspired by Joanne Wardle for PaperArtsy

 Hiya my lovelies!
Over at PaperArtsy blog the lovely Joanne Wardle is guest designer.
I love her no fuss, simple style... Which is a little weird as I'm usually a grungy, distressed, vintagey kinda gal!
You can find the project that inspired me here.
Joanne made Halloween projects & as I don't do Halloween I thought I could use the inspiration elsewhere!
My dearest Friend Sandra is getting married this Friday & I wanted to make her card a little differently...

Joanne used paints & stamps... I used Serif Craft Artist!

White background, used a thick brush in lilac & used a sentiment saved in weddings.
I used an embellishment from the Table Plans digikit & changed the colour to suit. I copy & pasted so I could Decoupage it. Printed it onto white card & cut it to fit my card. Cut the extra heart out, swiped a layer of Matte Medium on it & dipped it in iridescent glitter. ( The only glitter I own!) Then I used sticky pads to adhere it on top of the original heart. I finished it off by doodling lines & hearts around the edge with White Posca Pen.

It's the cleanest card I've ever made! lol!

It's not my usual style but I'm very happy with it!
I hope she likes it too!
I'd like to enter it into the PaperArtsy Challenge.

DT Project for SDD - Perfect Companions

Hiya crafty peeps!
It's time for this weeks DT project for Stamping Dragons Designs.

I painted the canvas with Sky & Beach Hut Fresco paints.
I then printed out photos of my mums doggies & tore the edges. I glued them onto the canvas
with Matte Medium. I then went over with Little Black Dress through some sequin waste. I added the names in little wooden letters that I painted Black.
I printed out this weeks Digi Stamp available here onto card & cut it out.
I triple embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I then fixed it to the canvas with sticky pads.
Voila!

 I hope you like it!

You can join the SDD Facebook page here.
I host it on Saturdays & would love to see you there!
